ADVANTAGES
APPLICATION
Surface Preparation
Surface over which the coating is to be applied should be structurally sound, clean, dry, free from loose particles, oil, laitance and other containments and is very much essential for optimum finish and durability.
The moisture content of the surface over which Hind HydroFlex PU 300 is to be applied should not exceed 5%. The compressive strength of the substrate should be minimum of 25Mpa , and cohesive bond strength at least 1.5 Mpa. New concrete structures to be allowed to gain full compressive strength and dried for 28 days. Undulation and surface irregularities need to be smoothened by grinding process. Grinding dust and loose particles to be removed completely before application of the coating. It should always be ensured that the surface should not be washed with water , compressed air blowing process to be followed for cleaning.
Priming
Over the prepared Concrete/Steel , cement screed and ceramic tiles, a coat of Hind ERS 21 P (250-300 gms/ m2 ) to be applied as a primer coat by brush, to make the surface smooth and also to achieve perfect bonding of the coating with the surface. 12 hours times is required for complete curing of the primed surface.
Mixing
Component A of Hind Hydroflex PU 300 to be stirred properly and then added to Component B at the stipulated mixing ratio and mixed with a low speed mechanical stirrer for 3-5 mins. The mixing to be done very thoroughly and uniformly so that the mixture becomes fully homogenous before application.
The mixture is now poured onto the primer and prepared surface and laid by means of a squeegee, roller or brush to cover up the entire surface. It should be ensured that consumption of the mixed material is completed within the pot life (~ 30mins). The mixed material should not be left in the pail for a long time because exothermic reaction accelerates the curing time and shortens the pot life of the mixed material. It is advisable that after mixing the material is to be poured directly on the surface or transferred into smaller pail to minimize the exothermic reaction. Hind Fiber Glass cloth may be used as reinforcement at problem areas like wall and floor junction, pipe-outlets, water spouts (siphon) etc. For proper fixing of the fiber glass cloth ,it is to be sand-witched between two coats.
After an interval of 12-18 hours and not later than 48 hours the second coat is to be applied. Application of third coating to be done if situation demands or specification suggest for building up required thickness.

DESCRIPTION
Hind Hydrolast 2K (S) is a two component, elastic, flexible, acrylic polymer modified cementitious coating system and when used as recommended, it forms an impermeable coating by sealing the capillaries and pores of the substrate of concrete. The flexible property of the product enables it to overcome thermal stress, expansion and contraction of the structures due to changes in weather. It conforms to IS: 101, IS:2645 & ASTM D 2370.
USES
Hind Hydrolast 2K (S) is recommended for use in all structures that is required to be waterproofed and protected against the ingress of moisture, like Roof / Terrace, Basements, Water tanks, Swimming pools, Retaining Walls, Bridge walls, Tunnels, Sewage tanks, Reservoirs, Dams, Dock Gates etc. It can be reinforced with Hind Fiber Glass to enhance the dimensional stability of the structure.
ADVANTAGES
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Mixing
Hind Hydrolast 2K (S) is supplied in pre-measured packing. Entire quantity of Pack B to be mixed with Pack A and stirred manually or with a paddle mixer (450-500 rpm) for 4-5 minutes until a uniform grey coloured slurry is obtained. Allow to settle for 1-2 minutes for entrapped air to be released during mixing. To obtain a trowel able mortar consistency 90% content of Pack A to be mixed with entire quantity of Pack B.
Application
Before application the substrate must be sound, clean free from loose particles or laitance and preferably wire brushed. The surface to receive the coating is to be checked. If any cracks exist, it has to be repaired with trowel able mortar of Hind Hydrolast 2K (S). Undulation and depression to be filled and leveled to obtain even surface. The prepared surface must be thoroughly wetted with water and it has to be ensured that there is no standing water on the surface, before application of the coating. On the dampen surface for slurry consistency first coat of Hind Hydrolast 2K (S) to be applied by brush or sprayed. On drying of the first coat after an interval of 4-5 hours second coat to be applied depending on the temperature and humidity. Addition of water to the prepared slurry of Hind Hydrolast 2K (S) is not at all advised. It is recommended to apply two coats for waterproofing and damp proofing with layer thickness ranging between 1.5mm to 2.0 mm. For areas where there is severe leakages a third coat is recommended. For trowel able mortars use of notched trowel is to be done. The coated surface is not trafficable and needs to be protected with screed concrete mixed with Hind Styrene BR (SBR Latex) to prevent it from getting damaged.

ADVANTAGES
Application
Before application the substrate must be sound, clean free from loose particles or laitance and preferably wire brushed. The surface to receive the coating is to be checked. If any cracks exist, it has to be repaired with trowel able mortar of Hind Hydrolast 2K. Undulation and depression to be filled and leveled to obtain even surface. The prepared surface must be thoroughly wetted with water and it has to be ensured that there is no standing water on the surface, before application of the coating. On the dampen surface for slurry consistency first coat of Hind Hydrolast 2K to be applied by brush or sprayed. On drying of the first coat after an interval of 4-5 hours second coat to be applied depending on the temperature and humidity. Addition of water to the prepared slurry of Hind Hydrolast 2K is not at all advised.
Curing
It is very much essential, that cementitious based coating is cured properly for 3-4 days for ensuring proper hydration of cement and preventing from cracking. If possible we recommend curing for 7 days by water logging over the surface or keeping it covered with dampen used jute to obtain better result of the coating.

H D P E P R E- A P P L I E D F FU L LY BONDED MEMBRANE
DESCRIPTION
Hind Basebond membrane is a preformed HDPE fully bonded membrane that bonds to the wet concrete cast on the membrane. After the membrane bonds with the concrete it forms an integral seal which prevents lateral water migration and makes it unaffected by any substrate settlement below the slabs. Reinforcement can be directly laid on top of the membrane and it does not require screed protection.
Hind Basebond is a unique HDPE membrane comprising of a virgin HDPE layer and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer which is covered by a weather proof protective layer. The adhesive layer is activated when the concrete is poured on the membrane and it enables the membrane bond to underside of the concrete which prevents the ingress of water into the structure as well as prevents tracking of water between the membrane and the structure and provide a positive side protection against ingress of sub soil water. Hind Basebond can be used for horizontal as well as vertical blind side application.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Hind Basebond membranes are supplied in rolls of 2.0 m or 2.4 m wide, with a selvedge of 75 mm on one side to provide self-adhered laps for continuity between rolls. The rolls of Hind Basebond membrane and Basebond Tape are inter-wound with a disposable plastic release liner which must be removed before placing reinforcement and concrete.
Surface Preparation
All Surfaces - It is essential to create a sound and solid substrate to eliminate movement during the concrete pour. Substrates must be regular and smooth with no gaps or voids greater than 12 mm. Grout around all penetrations such as utility conduits, etc. for stability.
Horizontal Blinding - Monolithic concrete blinding or mud slab is preferred. The blinding must be free of loose aggregate and sharp protrusions. An angular profiled blinding is recommended rather than a sloping or rounded substrate. The surface does not need to be dry, but standing water must be removed.
Vertical confined surface - Use concrete, plywood, masonry or other approved facing to provide to level and even support to the membrane. Board systems such as timber lagging must be close butted to provide support and not more than 12 mm out of alignment.
Membrane Installation
Hind Basebond can be applied ambient at temperatures of - 4ºC or above. During cold or damp conditions, the selvedge and tape adhesive can be gently warmed using a hot air gun or similar to remove moisture or condensation and improve initial adhesion.
Horizontal Substrates
Place the membrane HDPE film side to the substrate with adhesive/coated side facing up towards the concrete pour. End laps should be staggered to avoid a buildup of layers. Leave plastic release liner in position until overlap procedure is completed. Accurately position succeeding sheets to overlap the previous sheet 75 mm along the marked selvedge. Ensure the underside of the succeeding sheet is clean, dry and free from contamination before attempting to overlap. Peel back the plastic release liner from between the overlaps as the two layers are bonded together. Ensure a continuous bond is achieved without creases and roll firmly with a heavy roller.
Vertical Substrate
Mechanically fasten the membrane vertically using fixings (i.e. fasteners) appropriate to the substrate with the adhesive/coated side facing towards the concrete pour. The membrane may be installed in any convenient length. Secure the top of the membrane using a batten such as a termination bar or fixing 50 mm below the top edge. Fixings can be made through the selvedge so that the membrane lays flat and allows firmly rolled overlaps. Any additional fixings must be covered with a patch of Basebond Tape. Ensure the underside of the succeeding sheet is clean, dry and free from contamination before attempting to overlap. Roll firmly to ensure a watertight seal. Roll Ends and Cut Edges - Overlap all roll ends and cut edges by a minimum 75 mm and ensure the area is clean and free from contamination, wiping with a damp cloth if necessary. Allow to dry and apply Basebond Tape centered over the lap and roll firmly.
Corners
Internal and external corners should be formed as shown in the diagrams returning the membrane a minimum of 100mm and sealing with Basebond Tape. Ensure that the apex of the corner is covered and sealed with tape and roll firmly.
