SURFACE APPLICATION MIGRATORY BIPOLAR CONCRETE PENETRATING CORROSION INHIBITOR
DESCRIPTION
Hind Coroguard-SA is a Migratory Bipolar Corrosion inhibitor based on modified liquid amine formulated to prevent corrosion of embedded steel reinforcements in concrete. It is free from nitrites and chromate. When it is coated over concrete, its unique migratory property prevents corrosion of embedded steel reinforced structures at both anodic and cathodic sites, which are exposed to high chloride and corrosive chemical environments conforming to ASTM-G-109 & JIS A-6205.
PERFORMANCE
Hind Corroguard- SA functions as a high performance corrosion inhibiting admixture simultaneously affects both anodic and cathodic processes, it contains molecules in which electron density distribution causes the inhibitor to be attracted to both anodic and cathodic sites. By virtue of the moisture within the concrete these molecules migrate towards the steel and get deposited in a monomolecular layer along the steel and re-establish the barrier between the steel and chloride to prevent corrosion.
USES
Hind Corroguard-SA should be applied over thoroughly cleaned concrete surface free from any types of existing paints, oil, or grease.
DOSAGE
The optimum dosage of Hind Corroguard-SA to meet specific requirements should always be determined depending on the severity of the corrosion environment and anticipated chloride loading of the structure. Normally we recommend dosage/coverage ranging between 4-5 Sq. Mtr. per Kg per Coat over concrete.

Priming
Prior to priming , the concrete substrate to be properly dampened and excess water removed. Hind Bond AP is applied by a scrub into the substrate. Do not apply excessive emulsion. When the primer becomes tacky repair mortar/topping is placed over it. Satisfactory bonding is achieved if the repair mortar/topping is placed within 15 minutes after application at 300C.
Typical Mix Design for mortar modification
Cement (OPC) | 50 Kg |
Sand Zone II | 150 Kg |
Hind Bond AP | 8-10 Kg |
Water | Add required quantity of water to achieve desired consistency. |
Note: Following general recommendations to be followed for best results:
For Repairs
All surfaces to receive the application should be cleaned properly as per earlier guidelines and priming to
be done on all edges and surfaces. Cut back edges to avoid further edging.
All applications to be done on wet-to-wet surfaces. Allow Hind Bond AP applied surface to become tacky. Apply repair mortars after 15 minutes. If bonding agent is allowed to dry for more than 15 minutes initial bond/grab to the repair mortar is reduced. For good results use of dry sand is recommended. If wet sand is used the quantity of water is to be reduced.
Curing of the mortar to be done with Hind Bond AP to avoid quick drying. Minimum application temperature is 100 C , the mortar should not be applied if it is assumed that the temperature may fall below. Uncured mortar to be protected from frost and rain.
As a Bonding Agent
At higher temperature Hind Bond AP gives less over lay time. In such conditions overlay mortar should be applied when Hind Bond AP is greent. The application of Hind Bond AP as a bonding agent, cannot prevent the ingress of chloride ions from the substrate.

PUMPING AID AND PRIMER FOR CONCRETE PUMP IN POWDER FORM
DESCRIPTION
Hind Pump Prime is a ready to use compound in powder form easily soluble in water and is available in pre-measured plastic pack. This uniquely formulated compound consists of high performance a ingredient which is very effectively used for priming of all types of concrete pumps instead of using the conventional slurry made of cement, sand and water. Using this compound enables a considerable cost saving and helps in protection of the concrete pump and pipeline from getting choked. With the uses of Hind Pump Prime the efficiency of the concrete pump and pipeline gets enhanced as the hydraulic pressure in the pump gets minimized and lubrication in the pipeline make harsh concrete mixes pass through smoothly without any hindrance, resulting to non-choking of the pipeline in continuous concreting programme.
USES
Hind Pump Prime is used as a most effective priming compound and as a pumping aid for concrete pump. It is used very effectively when concrete is pumped through long distance pipelines from the batching plant to the pouring point. The phenomenon of friction when the concrete passes through long pipelines get reduced and the lubrication effect of the compound makes concrete pass smoothly without any choking of the pump and pipeline. In the construction of Bridge Piers, Decks, Dams, Tunnel, Shafts, Well-foundation, etc., where there is huge volume of concreting involved, use of this unique compound eases out choking problems of concrete pumps.
ADVANTAGES
DIRECTION FOR USE
For Priming of Concrete Pump:
Hind Pump Prime when used for priming of Concrete pump, the entire pouch of 250 gm, is to be poured at one side of the pump hopper or separately in the bucket where the slurry is being made. About to 20 to23 Ltr. of water is to be added to it and stirred uniformly for complete dissolution of the same. The slurry produced from one pouch will be sufficient for priming 70-80 meters length of pipeline. For a pipeline length of 120 meters, 2(two) number pouches are to be used. Whenever additional pouches are used for priming of increased pipeline length, it is to be always ensured that extra water of 20-23 Ltr. is added for proper dissolving of the powder and for better performance.
As a Pumping Aid for Stiff Mixes
Hind Pump Prime when used as a pumping aid for pumping stiff mixes, one pouch (250 gm) is recommended to be used for 1- 5 cubic meter of concrete. The content of the pouch is mixed directly into concrete produced
either by Mixture Machine or in Batching Plant and is made to be mixed for 5-6 minutes uniformly with the concrete. It is always advised to perform prior test and determine the suitability of Hind Pump Prime in concrete, because it absorbs water for hydration and this may have an adverse effect on concrete produced with Superplasticiser at low W/C ratio.
PROPERTIES
Aspect | White Powder |
Dosage | a) When used for priming of pump, a 250 gm. Pouch pack is to be added to 20 to 23 Ltr of water, producing slurry of desired consistency for priming 70-80 meter length of pipeline.

WATER BASED CONCRETE CURING COMPOUND
DESCRIPTION
Hind Cure WB is a water based, solvent free ready to use liquid concrete curing compound. It prevents premature water loss from concrete. It passes the norms set by Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) to be declared as a Non VOC (Volatile Organic Content) compound.
USES
Hind Cure WB when sprayed into newly laid concrete after the surface water gets dried up, it penetrates deep into the concrete matrix to initiate secondary hydration resulting to densification of the substrate which does not allow the water in the mix to evaporate. This densification forms a barrier against premature water loss, without creating any hindrance to the normal curing phenomenon. The relative humidity almost remains unchanged and provides optimum hydration for the concrete to achieve the design strength, durability and other beneficial properties of concrete.
ADVANTAGES
Hind Cure WB is very useful in large areas of exposed concrete such as
APPLICATION
Hind Cure WB should not be diluted for application to the newly laid concrete/hardened concrete. Once the surface water has disappeared and the surface does not pick up any foot traffic marks, two coats of application is to be done for the total area by means of a low pressure hand operated spray machine. For large areas of concrete such as concrete Highway. Power driven automatic spray equipment attached to paver machine is employed. The content is to be stirred well before application. After application of the first coat when it gets dried up, the second coat is to be applied immediately. The newly laid concrete should not be allowed to get disturbed until it gains adequate strength. In case of hardened concrete (after removal of formwork) the concrete surface is to be well saturated before application of Hind Cure WB.

MIGRATORY BIPOLAR CONCRETE PENETRATING CORROSION INHIBITOR
DESCRIPTION
Hind Corroguard is a Migratory Bipolar Corrosion inhibitor based on modified liquid amine formulated to prevent corrosion anodically as well as cathodically. It is very much effective for corrosion protection of steel reinforced structures at both anodic and cathodic sites, which are exposed to high chloride and some corrosive chemical environments conforming to ASTM-G-109 & JIS A-6205.
PERFORMANCE
Hind Corroguard functions as a high performance corrosion inhibiting admixture simultaneously affects both anodic and cathodic processes, it contains molecules in which electron density distribution causes the inhibitor to be attracted to both anodic and cathodic sites. By virtue of the moisture within the concrete these molecules migrate towards the steel and get deposited in a monomolecular layer along the steel and reestablish the barrier between the steel and chlorides to prevent corrosion.
USES
Hind Corroguard should be added directly to the concrete at the batching plant or transit mixture.
DOSAGE
The optimum dosage of HIND CORROGUARD to meet specific requirements should always be determined depending on the severity of the corrosion environment and anticipated chloride loading of the structure. Normally we recommend dosage range in between 2-3Kg per M3 of concrete.
