AIR ENTRAINING AGENT FOR CONCRETE & MORTAR
DESCRIPTION :
Hind Plast AEA is a slight alkaline solution, miscible with water, and having specific gravity of 1.01. It is an air entraining agent based on selected resin, conforming to ASTM-C 260-66T & IS: 9103:1999 (Reaffirmed 2004) Edition 2.2 (2007-08).
USES :
Hind Plast AEA is recommended to be used for well compacted durable concrete, resistant to extreme thermal variation and frost action is required. The area for use include roads, runways paving’s, hardstands, dams, canal lining, open storage areas etc. Hind Plast AEA of great benefit in light weight concrete, where it improves workability and reduces tendency to bleed. It is useful in reducing the density of light weight concrete blocks, so that blocks meet thermal insulation requirements. Hind Plast AEA gives increased durability to dense concrete and because of the entrained air, a reduction in material costs is achieved.
ADVANTAGES :
Hind Plast AEA functions on the interface of the sand and water to produce stable microscopic air bubbles uniformly distributed throughout the concrete. These bubbles serve to reduce both the amount of water absorbed and damage which arises from the formation of ice crystals in the pores of concrete. Apart from its usefulness in providing a much greater resistance to splaying and cracking in freeze/thaw environments Hind Plast AEA improves the properties of fresh concrete. Thus it gives the concrete better cohesion and workability, reduced segregation and bleeding which often occur when utilizing low quality aggregates and harsh mixes.
APPLICATION :
Hind Plast AEA is supplied, ready to use and should be added to mix with gauging water.
RATE OF ADDITION :
The dosage rate of Hind Plast AEA varies from 0.03% to 0.15% by weight of cement (BWOC) to produce concrete with entrained air of 5% ± 1.5 %. The exact dosage should be determined by site trials and by using air meter to determine the air content as per requirement in trial mixes. Generally higher the dosage rate, the greater the air entrainment, but mixes with low workability require a higher dosage rate to give a specified air content. In addition, concrete having low cement but high sand content will require less Hind Plast-AEA than Cement-rich, low sand concrete. Other factors to be taken into account include aggregate grading, strength requirements, yield and temperature. If PFA or Microsilica is used in the concrete the dosage may increase to obtain the required air content. Frequent air meter test to be done correctly and dosage rate adjusted to control the air content which is normally in the range of 3%-5% without affecting the strength of concrete.

ANTI FREEZE ADMIXTURE FOR COLD WEATHER CONCRETING
DESCRIPTION
Hind Plast Super(TM) Anti Freeze is a liquid admixture based on aqueous solution of inorganic salts for producing high quality concrete at low temperatures especially in cold weather conditions.
USES
Hind Plast Super(TM) Anti Freeze is used under cold weather conditions such as, when slight frosting takes place during day time, if frosting is expected overnight, Cold waves periods is expected and if work gets stopped under general normal conditions.
ADVANTAGES
APPLICATION
The recommended dosage is 1% by weight of Cement/binder. Hind Plast Super(TM) Anti Freeze admixture is to be added directly with part gauging water prior to its addition to the wet aggregate cement mix. It is always advisable to carry out site trial mixes to establish the exact dosage as per site requirement.

Waterproofing Compound for Concrete
USES :
For producing good cohesive concrete or mortar with adequate work ability less porosity and convenience of placement, without addition of extra water. Very suitable for the precast concrete/ mortar products, as it gives fair-faced concrete/ mortar with improved ultimate strength.

SET RETARDING CUM WATER-REDUCING ADMIXTURE FOR CONCRETE
DESCRIPTION
Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is a very effective retarding and supplementary admixture, after getting dispersed in concrete mix, deflocculates the cement particles and delays the hydration process resulting retardation of the initial and final setting time. It is used to enhance the workability without addition of excess water and due to its high water reducing properties allows reduction in free water content of concrete mixes. It conforms to IS : 9103: 1999, ASTM C 494 , Type B & D and EN 934-2 :T8 & T10 .
USES
Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is used for self compacting concrete with retarding properties in the concrete mix in hot weather conditions. It gives extended workability retention with high strength at low W/C ratio, concrete mixes. Can also be used for slip form concrete and white cement concrete. It is extremely beneficial in hot weather concreting where control on the initial and final setting time plays an important and vital role.
ADVANTAGES
DOSAGE
A trial should be conducted against control concrete to fix the exact dose to achieve the desired workability, within the given parameters of the mix design. Varying doses between 100ml to 500 ml per 100 kg of cementitious material is recommended. Overdosing of Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 may result to extended initial and final setting, bleeding/segregation of mix. A slight percentage of overdosing will not adversely affect the ultimate strength of concrete and higher strength can be achieved than normal concrete if compacted properly and cured. Due allowance is to be made for the fluid concrete pressure on formwork and stripping time should be monitored strictly. APPLICATION
Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is to be added to wet concrete after 70-80% of the mixing water is added. At no time it is recommended that it should be added to dry aggregate and cement. Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is compatible with almost all admixtures used for production of quality concrete such as normal, mid-range and high-range water-reducing admixtures, air entertainers, accelerators, retarders, extended set-control admixtures, corrosion inhibitors, and shrinkage reducers. It is also compatible with slag and pozzolans such as fly ash and silica fume.
CORROSIVITY – NON CORROSIVE
Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is a non-corrosive admixture. It will not initiate nor cause corrosion to embedded reinforcements in concrete, pre-stressed concrete or concrete laid on galvanized steel floor and roof. It do not contain calcium chloride or any calcium chloride based ingredients. In all concrete application, Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 admixture conform to the most stringent or minimum chloride ion limits followed by the construction industry standards and practices in regards to corrosion prevention.
Rate of hardening
The hardening rate of concrete is dependent on the temperature of the concrete mix and ambient temperature (sources being earth, reinforcement, air, etc.) At high temperatures the setting of concrete is faster and this may cause problems for placing of concrete and finishing. One of the main function of Hind Plast Super (TM) SR 55 is to delay the setting time of concrete. At a normal range of dose the working and setting time of concrete containing OPC is extended approximately from 1 hour to 6 hours in comparison to Plain concrete mix which is also dependent on the materials used and temperature prevailing at site. Trial mixes is recommended, with materials and the prevailing conditions at site to fix the exact dose of admixture required.

APPLICATION
The recommended dosage for standard mix concrete ranges from 0.2 to 1% by weight of cement in tropical temperature, higher than 25°C. Hind Plast Super(TM) MMF – Melamine based Superplasticizer
USES :
Hind Plast Super(TM) MMF can be used to produce an extremely workable FLOWABLE CONCRETE without loss of strength or to enable large water reduction to be made for the same workability resulting in dense concrete with higher ultimate strength. This product is quite helpful in producing pumpable concrete, precast concrete, pre-stressed concrete, industrial /commercial flooring with floor toppings and in areas where early shutter stripping are required.

HIGH RANGE WATER REDUCING SUPER PLASTICISER
DESCRIPTION
Hind Plast Super(TM) 160 is a high range water reducing superplasticizer. Its high range water reducing cum slump retaining and waterproofing properties makes its especially suitable for concreting in all climatic conditions. Hind Plast VMA (L) is recommended for self compacting concrete (SCC), high flow-able concrete, pump-able concrete and concrete with high W/C ratios.

Hind Plast VMA (L) is to be added to concrete after all ingredients have been batched and thoroughly mixed either it is in the Batching Plant, Laboratory trials or at jobsite. The placement of concrete can be done using the conventional method or by concrete pump. Placement of concrete produced with Hind Plast VMA (L) should be done continuously without any interruption. Hind Plast VMA (L) can also be dispensed during transit of freshly prepared concrete in Transit Mixer and mixing to be carried on for 5 minutes after its addition. The addition of Hind Plast VMA (L) is to be increased proportionately as the water content increases and reduced when the water content is lower. It is always advised to carry out trial mixes to ascertain the exact dosage to achieve the desired requirements.

DESCRIPTION
Hind Pump Aid is an unique admixture formulated from Polymer solution to improve the pump-ability of concrete mixes and it also protects concrete pumps and pipeline from excessive wear and damage. It is a viscosity controlling agent which allows the concrete to pass through the pipeline without any friction.
USES
Hind Pump Aid is used for concrete mixes with low cement content variable fines, poor particle size distribution and consequently low water retention capacity which makes the mix segregate when it is pumped thus creating a very high pump pressure. Aggregates containing high silt percentage and even contaminated can be pumped easily by using Hind Pump Aid without exerting excessive pressure on the concrete pump.

Hind Pump Aid is to be added directly to gauging water at the ready mix plant. The optimum effect of Hind Pump Aid is achieved after 90 seconds from the time of mixing of water. Hind Pump Aid can be used alongwith Hind Plast Super SCA Superplasticers to produce high quality concrete. It is always recommended to perform trial mixes when used with other admixtures and for fixation of dosage.. Adding Hind Pump Aid increases the viscosity of concrete mixes.
